My name is Javon Havelka, and I am the proud owner and lead operator of Bright Side Property Services. What began as an "entrepreneurial experiment" just over two years ago has grown into something far greater—my true passion. At Bright Side Property Services, we stand behind the quality of our work with a satisfaction guarantee. If you're not fully satisfied with our window or gutter cleaning services, please let us know within 48 hours, and we will promptly address and resolve any concerns. We use quality control measures to ensure the best results, and in the unlikely event of any damage, we are fully liable and will take responsibility for repairs or replacement. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we’re committed to delivering outstanding service every time.

  • How often should I get my windows cleaned?
    We recommend having your windows cleaned twice a year, ideally in the spring and fall. Neglecting regular window cleaning can lead to permanent damage to the glass over time. We have made it benificial to use us multiple times a year with our offers and rewards programs.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept cash, credit, debit, e-transfer paid to payment@brightsidewpg.com, or cheques made payable to Bright Side Property Services, with payment due upon completion of the work. Commercial cleans are invoiced according to the terms of the contract agreement.
  • What do I need to do prior to the clean?
    Our staff is flexible and will work around most situations within reason at your home or business. Here are a few tips to help facilitate the window cleaning process: Ensure access to any locked exterior areas of the property If you've scheduled an exterior window or gutter cleaning, make sure all windows are fully closed and that the exterior water supply is turned on. For interior cleaning, please ensure someone is home during the appointment. Remove screens from the side of the window pane being cleaned, whether interior or exterior, to allow full access for a thorough clean.
  • Do I need to be home during the appoitment?
    You do not need to be home if we are completing exterior window cleaning or gutter cleaning. However, please review the "What do I need to do prior to the clean?" FAQ for instructions to ensure a smooth and hassle-free appointment.
  • How long does it take to clean my windows?
    Providing an exact time for a window cleaning appointment can be difficult, as each property differs, but as a general guideline, the exterior of an average two-story house with approximately 25 individual panes typically takes up to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • What is the process for window cleaning?
    Our window cleaning process varies depending on the property, allowing us to tailor our approach for the best results. For exterior windows, we utilize two different methods, selecting the most effective one for your property’s needs. For interior windows, we rely on the traditional mop and squeegee technique for precision and care. Visit "Window Cleaning" under "Services" for more details about our process, which we’ve mastered to ensure every window is cleaned to perfection.
  • What if you damage something on my property?
    We are fully insured and covered for liability up to $2 million. In the unlikely event that we cause any damage to your property (which hasn’t happened to date), we take full responsibility to repair or replace the item or part of the property. Additionally, all our employees are registered with the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba, ensuring compliance and safety for everyone involved.
  • What if someone gets hurt on my property? Am I liable?
    No, we take full responsibility for the safety of our employees. We are fully insured and covered for liability up to $2 million. Additionally, all our employees are registered with the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba, ensuring compliance and safety for everyone involved. Most of our work is done from the ground, in the event we need to be on a ladder, the proper safety measures would be in place.
  • What is your weather delay policy?
    If we encounter unfavourable weather that prevents us from completing outdoor work, we will proceed with any indoor work scheduled and return to finish the outdoor work as soon as conditions allow. You will be contacted beforehand to ensure the new appointment time is convenient for you.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule your cleaning appointment. A $25.00 cancellation fee will apply for cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice. Cancellations can be made over the phone during our regular business hours.
  • What if I'm not satisfied?
    With our quality guarantee, your satisfaction is assured. If you have any concerns or are not completely satisfied with our services, please contact us within 48 hours of your appointment, and we will promptly address and resolve the issue. Our quality control measures are designed to minimize, if not eliminate, any concerns from arising.
  • Will my appointment continue in the case of rain?
    Depending on the severity of the rain, your appointment may continue or be rescheduled. In most cases, it’s the wind that determines whether we can proceed. You will be notified if we need to reschedule your appointment.
  • Will the ladder damage my walls or gutters?
    We take precautions to ensure that your property is not damaged by our ladders, using padding or safety wings to protect surfaces. In the unlikely event that any damage occurs, we are fully liable and will take responsibility for repairs or replacement.
